Based on the infamous Montparnasse train station 1895 disaster that went down in history in a series of surreal, extraordinary photographs, The Paris Express is a propulsive novel set on a train packed with a fascinating cast of characters, including members of parliament hurrying to Paris for a vote, a medical student who suspects a girl may be dying, a secretary trying to convince her boss to invest in moving pictures, two of the train’s crew members who hope to build new lives, and a young anarchist with a terrifying plan.
